Add a persistent statistics leaderboard to your VRChat Mölkky game.

The board faces the throwing area and displays the players currently in the instance using their saved records.

BEST = the fewest throws needed to reach exactly 50.

Players are ranked by Wins → Win Rate → Best Game.

💾 PERSISTENT PLAYER STATS

Player records are saved using VRChat PlayerData.

The system tracks:

• Games played • Games won • Best game / fewest throws

A completed game is counted only once per player, even if the game state is received more than once.

Players who never join the game are not recorded.

🌐 IMPORTANT LIMITATION

This is not a global leaderboard.

VRChat PlayerData can only be read for players currently in the instance. The board therefore ranks the players currently in the world using their saved records.

A worldwide leaderboard would require an external database or web service and is not included.

📥 INSTALLATION

1. BACK UP YOUR PROJECT

Create a backup of your Unity project before importing.

2. IMPORT

Import the provided Unity package and locate the Mölkky/Leaderboard folder in your Project window.

3. ADD THE LEADERBOARD

Drag the leaderboard prefab into your Mölkky world.

Position and scale it so it faces the throwing area.

4. CONNECT THE GAME

Follow the included README instructions to connect the leaderboard to your Mölkky game manager.

5. BUILD & TEST

Follow the included build instructions and test before publishing.

Verify that:

• Players can join • Games complete correctly • Wins are recorded • Games played updates • Best game updates • Games are not counted twice • Rankings display correctly

This is a digital product for VRChat world creators.

Please confirm compatibility with your Unity and VRChat setup before purchasing.

The leaderboard has been tested with the Udon runtime and VRChat PlayerData system.

Physical throwing and multi-client behavior should be tested in your own world.
